Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes it is inevitable that Erling Haaland will join the Premier League next summer, with many of Europe’s biggest clubs hoping to secure his signature.
Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City have all been linked with moves for Haaland, who has scored 63 goals in 64 appearances for Borussia Dortmund.
Haaland has established himself as one of the most prolific goalscorers in world football over the past four seasons and could be signed for around £68m next summer when his buy-out clause kicks in.
Wenger expects Haaland to move to England in 12 months’ time and says the ‘super talent’ will only get better in the next few seasons.
‘I think that will happen [a move to England],’ Wenger told Bild. ‘The economic power of the Premier League is too strong.
‘English football is dominant because it is where the most money is. The best players always go the best way to make the most money.
‘Haaland is likely to be the next high-profile goalscorer after Mbappe. He’s a super talent.
‘His ambition, his will to score goals and the ability to fight in a duel [set him apart]. He’s there and wants to win, there is something in him that is great for a striker.’
Despite resigning all-time great Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, Manchester United are still reportedly interested in signing Haaland in 2022.
But the Red Devils face competition from the likes of Real Madrid and PSG, while Liverpool have also been linked with the 21-year-old Norway superstar.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp called Haaland ‘extraordinary’ last month but remained coy over the club’s interest in signing the striker.

‘The boy is a force of nature who develops his own energy,’ Klopp told
Bild TV. ‘He’s an incredibly exciting player who’s fun.
‘He is an extraordinary talent. Sooner or later he will be in discussion with large clubs. I don’t know if that will be the case next summer, but then Dortmund will have to counter it.’
Asked if he wants Liverpool to sign the Norway international, Klopp added: ‘I don’t have his number!
‘He’s just a very interesting player. I really like the energy he brings to the pitch. But he would generally be seen by most teams.’
