According to TMZ, a document signed by the pop star reads: ‘Pursuant to my statement open in court on June 23, 2021, my rights, and my desire to end the above-referenced conservatorship as to my father Jamie P Spears, it is my desire to choose and retain in my own counsel, at Greenberg, Traurig, LLP as set forth above.’

Mr Rosengart is a partner at law firm Greenberg, Traurig, LLP.

It is understood they will represent the US star and will file documents asking for Britney’s father to be removed as conservator of her estate.

She is said to be in good spirits after long-time manager Larry Rudolph and court-appointed lawyer Samuel D Ingham III resigned from their roles weeks after she spoke in court to brand the conservatorship ‘abusive’.

An insider told E! News: ‘She’s finally feeling hopeful about the future.

‘She thinks people are resigning because they know she is speaking the truth.

‘She is relieved her attorney resigned and hopes that if she can pick her own lawyer, it means the judge is leaning towards terminating the conservatorship.’

Samuel had representated Britney since the conservatorship began in 2008 and she reportedly sees his resignation as a sign of progress.

However, the hitmaker is said to be trying to remain patient, with the insider adding: ‘She is happy that things are starting to happen, and that the truth has finally come out.’
