A trailer was released after last week’s episode of Casualty giving a first look at Iain’s arrival and it appears he gets stuck into the drama straight away to try and save Jan (Di Botcher) from her drug smuggling ordeal.
After Jan’s son Ross (Chris Gordon) arrived in the ED, he explained to his mum his cellmates were aware she works as a Paramedic, and wants medication smuggled into their cells.
Not wanting to let her son down for fear of his safety, Jan agreed to the idea, and has since been stealing drugs from the hospital and working with Ross to deal them into the prison.
The 20-second trailer that was released last Saturday (April 3) opens with Jan and wife Ffion (Stirling Gallacher) being attacked by men on motorbikes.
However, pause the trailer at the right time and you’ll discover the men on the motorbikes are throwing Jan a package ready for her next drop.
After another threat from Ross via phone call, we hear Jan saying ‘I haven’t got a choice’ as she makes her way into the prison once more.
Just as a desperate Jan grabs the drugs, who enters?
Wearing his HEMs uniform, Iain’s smile to see his colleague again looks like it could turn to shock as it looks like Iain has walked in on the exact moment Jan was going to hide the drugs.
If Jan tells Iain about the mess she’s in, will he really report someone who did so much for him?
Or will Iain decide to help Jan?
