Kelly Neelan’s (Millie Gibson) mum Laura (Kel Allen) has established herself as someone who really only cares for herself in Coronation Street.
Since they first arrived on the cobbles, Kelly and Laura’s relationship has been toxic and fragile. We learnt early on that Laura would often leave Kelly at home on her own when she was younger, and after social got involved, Kelly was put into foster care.
Most recently, with Kelly in prison following Seb (Harry Visinoni) and Nina’s (Mollie Gallagher) attack, Laura had an idea to try and earn quick money – sell her daughter’s story to the press.
As the court trial continues, it’s Kelly’s turn for questioning, but with news Laura is hanging around, will she deliberately wreck her daughter’s fate?
Kelly takes the witness box and tells the court how Corey (Maximus Evans) attacked Seb and kicked him repeatedly, despite her begging for him to stop.
When Laura takes the stand, it’s all eyes on her as she tells the court about her daughter – but what will she have to say about Kelly?
Will a negative reference of Kelly increase the chances of her being charged with Seb’s murder?
