Coronation Street star Peter Ash has confirmed he’ll be staying on our screens for the foreseeable after signing a new ITV contract.
Peter, who’s played Paul Foreman since 2018, wrote on Twitter confirming he’ll be working at the Corrie studios for at least another year:
‘Just signed on for another year on the best Street around! Very excited! Here’s to another 12 months of Apollo Foreman!’ he wrote.
Many of Peter’s followers responded to the tweet, congratulating him as his time playing Paul continues.
‘Well done, Paul’s a good character, he needs more luck though, and a decent bloke’, one person replied.
Paul indeed needs more luck in his life, following his recent storyline that saw him get arrested as a result of Todd Grimshaw’s (Gareth Pierce) latest crimes.
In an attempt to ensure Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) stayed with him, Todd stole a heat pump from Ed’s (Trevor Michael Georges) builders’ yard and allowed Paul to take the fall and watched him get arrested.
Paul was also involved in a huge storyline back in 2019 that saw him come to terms with his historic sex abuse by stepdad Kel.
