Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is ‘furious’ with Harry Kane’s decision to go public with his desire to leave the club, viewing the striker’s recent comments as ‘disrespectful’.

Kane has signalled his intention to leave north London to pursue a fresh challenge with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea interested in signing the England captain.

The striker’s plans emerged in an outspoken interview with Gary Neville, with Kane insisting the decision would ultimately be down to him and not the club.

Kane also suggested a fee of £100m might be enough to secure his services this summer, telling former United defender: ‘I don’t know, I mean he [Daniel Levy] might want to sell me.

‘He might be thinking ‘If I could get £100m for you, then why not?’… do you know what I mean? I’m not going to be worth that for the next two or three years.’

According to the Daily Mail, Levy is very unhappy with Kane’s ‘disrespectful’ comments.

The report adds Levy and Kane held talks over the striker’s future last month where the player revealed his desire to move on.

Spurs however were hoping those conversations would remain private and were dismayed to see the details go public.

Despite Kane’s comments, Tottenham remain adamant their prized asset is not for sale and would only consider an offer in the excess of £150m.
