Derrick Rose In Emotional Message To Chicago: “I Fu*king Love You.”

It’s easy to forget where the journey all started for Pistons guard Derrick Rose: the city of Chicago.

After growing up in the city for years, he started his basketball career there in 2008, won an MVP there in 2011, and continues to hold the hearts of many within the city at 32-years-old.

And while his Chicago playing days seem like a distant memory now, DRose recently reflected his experience there in a different time, citing appreciation for the memories he made as a kid growing up in the city.

Rose has admitted in the past that he might have started dealing drugs had his brothers not protected him and made his focus on school and basketball. Clearly, he has memories of overcoming many challenges that could have drastically altered the course of his life.

Or course, his days as a Bull were electric because of the history he had with the city. During his relatively brief stint with the franchise, he averaged 19.7 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.7 rebounds on 45% shooting.

In Detroit, nobody can say for certain what will happen. While his prime has already passed, many great things lie ahead for Rose on the court, and it seems like a return to the Windy City might still be in the cards.

Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see.
