The young man was left completely and utterly destroyed when fiancé Callum Highway (Tony Clay) confessed to having tried to take down Phil (Steve McFadden).
If there’s two thing we know about the Mitchell’s so-called code, it’s that working with the police is never an option, and ‘grassing’ is the worst thing one could do.
Therefore, it’s no wonder that Ben was so hurt by Callum’s betrayal – even if the young copper’s intentions were honourable.
Next week, the day of the wedding arrives, and Callum is full of pre-wedding jitters, as he faces up to the fact that Ben might not show up.
Ben, meanwhile, shows no signs of getting ready for a wedding, which forces Katy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) to enlist Phil for help in encouraging him not to leave poor Callum stranded at the altar on his own.
However, one thing leads to another, and Phil bursts into The Queen Vic ahead of the wedding to reveal that Ben has gone missing!
Where oh where has Ben gone?
What’s more, will he show up in time for the wedding? Or is his disappearance indicative of the fact that he’s made his choice – and it’s not Callum?
