EastEnders spoilers: Killer Gray exposed at last as Whitney sees him for what he is

Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) dropped the facade in EastEnders tonight, as he demonstrated what he’s really capable of to a shocked Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) and Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami).

After getting wind of the fact that Kush was planning on telling Arthur about his impending prison sentence, Gray decided to cause trouble.

The sinister solicitor intimated that perhaps he should do such a thing on his own, and therefore cancel his day out with Whitney.

Gray, delighted that his plan worked, then asked Whitney to look after the kids, but he received quite the shock when Mackenzie’s teacher popped round for a visit.

Mackenzie has, according to the teacher, been growing increasingly violent in the wake of Chantelle’s (Jessica Plummer) death, and his aggression has got out of control.

Gray, knowing that he’s responsible, was speechless, while Whitney attempted to console him, claiming that he’s a good dad.

The killer decided to use her kindness to his advantage, as he manipulated her into spending the evening babysitting, meaning that she had to cancel her romantic meal with Kush.

Whitney, however, got a pleasant surprise, when Kush turned up at Gray’s house with a takeaway, determined to make their evening a special one.

The young couple discussed their blossoming relationship, and held hands as they stared longingly at one another, but little did they know that Gray had arrived home.

The lawyer was seething, and this time, he was unable to hide his aggression as he let loose on the pair of them, claiming that they had no right to do such a thing in his house.

Whitney, incredibly confused, attempted to reason with Gray, reminding him that they’ve not done anything wrong.

Gray, however, disagreed, and berated Whitney, as he hurled abusive comments at her.

Kush motioned towards the aggressive abuser, and suggested he would be sorry if he didn’t stop throwing insults around.

The scales had well and truly fallen from Whitney’s eyes, that’s for sure, as she informed Gray that one need only look closer to home to see where Mackenzie’s anger problems have stemmed from.

She left with Kush by her side, while Gray pondered what happened.

His true nature has finally been exposed.

Will Whitney perhaps work out that he had a part to play in Chantelle’s death, perhaps?
