Viewers haven’t seen a great deal of Mila Marwa (Ruhtxjiaïh Bèllènéa) in EastEnders, meaning we haven’t really learnt a lot about her.
However, after Kim (Tameka Empson) tried her hand at matching Mila and Iqra (Priya Davdra), viewers will finally discover more about Mila’s past soon as she reveals to Iqra that her family’s religious beliefs and homophobia caused her to leave home and change her name.
But will Mila be left terrified when she is outed as gay to her family soon?
Kim insists on using Iqra as a case study for her Walford Gazette feature and persuades a reluctant Mila to take part.
As the photographer takes pictures, it sends Mila into meltdown, which leads her to tell Iqra the truth about her past and not wanting her family to find her.
Iqra is horrified when Kim tells her the picture from the shoot has been posted online.
When Iqra breaks the news to Mila and explains that the post was only up for a few hours, Mila panics but is touches that Iqra is so apologetic and assures Iqra she’s fine, clearly hiding her worry.
Could Mila’s family arrive in Walford soon when they find the photo online?
How will Mila cope with the worry that she could face her family’s homophobia again?
