It’s been a long time since England lifted the World Cup in 1966, but many football fans can still remember the commentary of the match against West Germany.
Hugh Johns led the commentary on ITV, while Kenneth Wolstenholme was in charge over on the BBC.
Wolstenholme’s commentary went down in history thanks to his quote in the final moments of the match.
After Geoff Hurst scored his fourth goal, he said: ‘Some people are on the pitch…they think it’s all over….it is now!’
