Hosted by the late Jim Bowen from 1981 to 1995, it saw contestants show off their darts-playing skills in a bid to win cash and prizes.
It was also fronted by Dave Spikey in 2006 and Vernon Kay in 2007.
Josh shared a screen grab of the show’s iconic cartoon bull on his Instagram page and confessed he couldn’t get enough of it.
He wrote: ‘Britain, I’ve now seen your show #Bullseye and I truly don’t know where to begin. Holy s**t.
‘I’ve never been this mesmerised by television in my life.
‘In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever been this mesmerised by anything in my life. I feel like a cobra listening to a flute.’
The Beauty and the Beast actor’s newfound hobby didn’t stop there, as a day later he sang the praises of Michael Barrymore’s Strike It Rich, also known as Strike It Lucky.
Running from 1986 to 1999, contestants had to answer questions correctly in order to move further along a path in a bid to win prizes.
Giving his take on that show, based on the American game show Strike It Rich, he praised host Michael for the amount of running around he did on stage to chat to each team of contestants.
Josh said on Instagram: ‘Today’s lesson in British culture is a game show called “Strike It Lucky.”
‘I’ve never seen a game show host do as much cardio as this man does running around the stage and moving people across a line of 90’s TV screens, while audiences scream like they’re at a gladiator event.’
In the past the actor has shown love for Bruce’s Price is Right, labelling it ‘bonkers’.
The late Bruce Forsyth hosted the programme from 1995 to 2001.
Josh hasn’t shared which show he’s going to get into next, but if he’s looking for recommendations he should check out Blankety Blank, or maybe The Chase for something more recent.
