If you’re keen to make some money from your sweet tooth, a new job opportunity should be on your radar.

One company is on the hunt for a doughnut taster and is willing to pay the chosen individual £200 for their efforts.

Dum Dum Doughnuts is looking for a tester to come into their store and spend an entire afternoon sampling sweet treats.

Sounds dreamy, right?

The idea is that the taster will nominate the best vegan ‘Crone’ flavour – AKA, a vegan croissant/doughnut cone filled with gelato.

They will be required to complete a scorecard for each flavour on a range of criteria, such as taste, texture and appearance – so applicants should have a good attention to detail and will need to be able to clearly describe how something tastes.

Sampling should take around three hours in total, so payment works out at around £66.66 per hour – plus all the free food to enjoy on the day.

If that wasn’t enough, they will also receive a month’s worth of free doughnuts.

On the job description, Dum Dum Doughnuts founder Paul says: ‘We offer beautifully baked, never fried, handmade doughnuts, made from only natural ingredients – that don’t compromise on taste.’

So this really is the definition of a sweet opportunity.

The tasting day will fall within National Doughnut Week (July 10-18), so anyone thinking of applying will need to be available during this time. They also must be happy to travel to Brighton.

Applications are open to anyone who can stomach all the sugar and the job is currently listed on Airtasker UK.

Elsewhere in the world of food, a baker has shared how to make Mars Bar and Caramilk ‘sausage rolls’ and the idea is genius.

Also, this Pimm’s cheesecake recipe is the perfect dessert to get ready for Wimbledon and strawberries and cream Doritos are now a thing.

The summer treats just keep on coming.
