Jamie Foxx proved even Hollywood stars have moments where they can’t help but let their proud dad side shine through, as he praised his daughter for being a producer on his new show.
He took to Instagram to gush about his daughter Corrine, 27, who is serving as a producer on his new Netflix comedy series Dad Stop Embarrassing Me.
Jamie, 53, shared a photo of Corinne leaning against a wall in a green checked skirt and mint-coloured blazer and heels as he wrote: ‘@corinnefoxx the producer! Soooo proud of u!! “Dad Stop embarrassing me” April 14th @netflix.’
In the series, Jamie plays a single father who owns a cosmetics brand, and who has to figure out parenting when his strong-minded teenage daughter moves in with him.
Dad Stop Embarrassing Me will be Jamie’s return to sitcom acting 20 years after starring in fan favourites such as In Living Color and The Jamie Foxx Show.
Although Corrine – who Jamie shares with ex-girlfriend Connie Kline – isn’t acting on Dad Stop Embarrassing Me, she has previously joined her pops on screen too.
She starred alongside Jamie in The Jamie Foxx show as well as being the DJ on the second season of Beat Shazam in 2018.
Corinne also had a role in 2019’s 47 Meters Down and the upcoming All-Star Weekend, but also appears to be making waves behind the scenes too.
As well as Jamie, Dad Stop Embarrassing Me also stars The Good Doctor’s Kyla-Drew, David Alan Grier from In Living Color, 2 Broke Girls’ Jonathan Kite, Heather Hemmens from Roswell: New Mexico and Valente Rodriguez.
It comes after Jamie won his sixth NAACP Image award last week for his performance in animated movie Soul, for which he also made history by becoming the first ever African-American voice lead in the Disney Pixar film.
Dad Stop Embarrassing Me arrives on Netflix on April 14.
