The McVitie’s joined the cast of the E4 hit reality show in series two in 2011, and has starred in every series up until series 20, which aired last year.
He said he would be taking a step back from Made In Chelsea last year while competing on Strictly Come Dancing, although said he’d never say he was ‘done’ with the show.
However, Jamie has now confirmed he is ‘stepping back 100 per cent’, citing his age and his business, Candy Kittens.
The 32-year-old told MailOnline: ‘It’s a classic statement but I am stepping back 100 per cent. I love that show but also I’m 32.
‘With a reality show you’ve got to really throw yourself into it and whatever I do I want to do it to my best ability and put my all into it and at the moment I can’t do that and I have other things I need to do.
‘I would just be on the side and truthfully I don’t enjoy doing that, I want to be in the thick of things and I can’t do that with Chelsea at the minute so for me there isn’t a reason to do it.’
Jamie’s girlfriend Sophie Habboo will remain on the show, and currently stars in the 21st series, which began on E4 in March.
Jamie has provided some of Made In Chelsea’s most memorable storylines, thanks to his many on-screen romances with co-stars including Louise Thompson, Binky Felstead, Jess Woodley, Frankie Gaff and Heloise Agostinelli.
However, the cast of telly’s poshest reality show has drastically changed in recent years – while familiar faces like Sam Thompson, Ollie Lock, Olivia Bentley and Alex Mytton have featured on series 21, new cast members include Amelia Mist, Paris Smith, Ruby Adler and DJ Tom Zanetti.
Jamie reached a whole new TV audience in 2019 when he was announced as part of the cast of Strictly, but was forced to drop out before the competition even began when he broke his ankle.
The star has also been confirmed as the host of BBC Three’s I Like The Way You Move, which is currently filming.
Outside of telly, Jamie runs the sweet business Candy Kittens, which is the fastest-growing confectionary brand in the country.
However, he admitted that the pandemic had caused issues for the business due to the closure of the high street, and told MailOnline that he had to furlough employees to keep afloat.
