Chelsea host the Premier League’s bottom side Sheffield United in their FA Cup quarter-final clash on Sunday with United travelling to Leicester City later that day.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were eliminated at the semi-final stage last season but are looking to win their first piece of silverware under the Norwegian this term, with the club also still fighting in the Champions League.
Jenas suggests however that while they might come out on top at the King Power Stadium this weekend, United will eventually fall short in their bid to win football’s oldest competition this season.
‘Leicester struggled towards the end of last season and I see that happening a bit again this season,’ Jenas said in an interview with Heycar, the sponsor of BT Sport’s FA Cup coverage.
‘Whereas Manchester United are just too inconsistent, week to week.’
Chelsea are unbeaten since Thomas Tuchel’s arrival at Stamford Bridge, conceding just two goals in his 13 games in charge.
Impressed with what he’s seen, Jenas tips Chelsea as a favourite alongside City who are still chasing a quadruple.
‘Chelsea might win it. They have found some form under Thomas Tuchel and I like what is going down there.
‘With the form they’re in, they could be a side bet to Manchester City as winners this season.’
