With a theme of encouraging the nation to ‘Give A Little Love’, the ad doesn’t have the usual super-cute solo character, a la Monty the Penguin or Excitable Edgar, and thus there’s no hyped up toy to buy for the festive season.
At least, not from John Lewis… Aldi’s Kevin the Carrot is back this year and selling out yet again.
John Lewis is selling some key merchandise from their Christmas advert, though, even if it’s not the cuddly toys you might expect.
Instead you’ll be able to buy that iconic heart-shaped umbrella, a mug, a candle, a tote bag, pyjamas, and a range of T-shirts.
All the profits from these products will be going to two charities: Home-Start, which works with parents who need support, and FareShare, which helps those facing food poverty.
Claire, the Customer Director for John Lewis, told Metro.co.uk: ‘We read quite a few statistics about who has been hit hardest in the pandemic and who will continue to be, and it was families – so [the partnership] was just the perfect blend.
‘Every family is entitled to a warm and safe space. That was incredibly important to us.’
All the products will be on sale on the Waitrose and John Lewis websites and in-store from today. Take a look at what’s on offer below.
