Josh Taylor and Jose Ramirez clash tonight to crown the undisputed champion of the super-lightweight division.

In a week where all that is wrong with boxing dominated the headlines, Saturday’s showdown brings the two undefeated kings of the 140lbs division together with all four major world titles on the line.

Edinburgh fighter Taylor has risen to the top of his division in just 17 fights, claiming the IBF belt with a comprehensive win over Ivan Baranchyk in May 2019 before adding the WBA title to his collection after an unbelievable scrap with Regis Prograis in London later that year.

California’s Ramirez meanwhile brings the WBC and WBO titles to the table along with his own flawless record after 26 fights.

The ‘Tartan Tornado’ is aiming to become Britain’s first undisputed world champion of the four-belt era – and first overall since heavyweight legend Lennox Lewis in 1999.
