Kate Moss has kindly offered up the most intimate of moments for a good cause, auctioning off footage of herself sleeping to raise money for mental health awareness.

The supermodel has teamed up with wellness charity Gurls Talk to film three artwork videos: Sleep With Kate, Walk With Kate and Drive With Kate.

In Sleep With Kate, the 47-year-old is seen lying in bed topless with her arms above her head while, well, apparently sleeping.

Explaining why she wanted to get involved with the project, she said: ‘Art for me has always been about the moment. Time is the thing that there is never enough of.

‘And that waits for no one; I’m intrigued by who will want to own a moment of mine. I was also drawn to the idea that this ownership can be used to help others in need hopefully gain more of it.

‘I look forward to seeing this experiment through.’

Bids have so far reached £11,000 through non-fungible token (NFT) cryptocurrency. Anyone can view the video but it is only the buyer who will own the video and an audio certification recorded by the model.

The artists who shot Kate for the project said they are ‘dedicated to exploring the idea of iconic within the realm of what is personal and what is public’.

Kate recently reflected on her foray into modelling, starting at the age of 15 in 1988.

She recalled feeling ‘terribly uncomfortable’ while working on shoots in her younger years and revealed that some photographers only agreed to work with models with a ‘nude element’.

Speaking to Reader’s Digest, she said: ‘There were many shoots in the early days where I felt terribly uncomfortable.’

Explaining how it’s typical for a model to start their career at a young age, she said: ‘That was the case with me, but even so there were some photographers who wouldn’t agree to shoot you unless there was a nude element.

‘That was very common then and still is now. For a very young woman that could be incredibly intimidating.’
