One missing kitten not coming home again is Kerry Katona — who is ‘gutted’ her old bandmates snubbed her for their Whole Again football fan anthem.
Kerry was on the original release of the 2001 Atomic Kitten chart-topper.
But she revealed bandmates Liz McClarnon, Natasha Hamilton and Jenny Frost — the woman who replaced her when she originally quit — never even asked her to join the nostalgia trip.
The 40-year-old seemingly had another fallout with the ladies since their last attempt at a reunion four years ago.
As the trio lapped up football fever with a Gareth Southgate-themed version of their noughties hit, Katona revealed she would have ‘loved to’ re-record it with them, telling fans she was ‘gutted’ not to have been asked.
Ahead of last night’s final she then took a swipe at them — publicly tweeting out an Instagram picture of the kittens replaced by three Coronation Street legends, Gail Platt (Helen Worth), Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) and Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox).
The meme said: ‘See Atomic Kitten have reformed for the Euros.’
Attempting restraint, Katona captioned her re-share: ‘Couldn’t help it!’ She added: ‘Just a light-hearted joke but wishing the girls all the best… football’s coming home.’
The girl band’s reworked track, with new lyric ‘Southgate you’re the one… football’s coming home again’, has found success without her, climbing to No.5 in the charts.
As for Katona, the three-times divorced mum-of-five spends her days thrilling her fans on her OnlyFans account.
Ed pal Maisie is Sheeran life’s work
She took a lifetime to write her album — but Maisie Peters creates hits in minutes now Ed Sheeran has taken her under his wing.
The Favourite Ex singer is modelling her stardom on Ed’s after he signed her to his label Gingerbread Man Records. The Shape Of You singer penned 250 songs for his own comeback — and Peters has admitted her ‘chaotic’ single Psycho ‘was written in half an hour’.
But her debut record You Signed Up For This results from the habit of a lifetime.
‘I have been working on this album my whole life,’ the 21-year-old revealed. ‘I started working on it more intensely last year.’
And on the ‘pinch me’ moment Sheeran, 30, took a chance on her, she said: ‘We’ve been working with the same people and very much in each other’s spheres. We got on as people and friends and it was very natural signing to him.
‘He is one of the most down to earth people I know, which is amazing considering all of his success. He still manages to be super nice and super caring and attentive to everybody.’
But Maisie insisted even if Ed hadn’t come along, we would all still know her. ‘I have always been a stick it out person,’ she said. ‘It’s the best job in the world. And I am way too stubborn.’
Hoping her tunes don’t hurt anyone, she added: ‘I always want to write something that could feel it is true to anybody. Sometimes a song comes out months after whatever happened happens — you give it time and space.’
Crown’s Josh isn’t scared to go bare…
Josh O’Connor has insisted that flashing his crown jewels in Mothering Sunday is vital to the story.
There is full-frontal nudity from both The Crown actor Josh and co-star Odessa Young in the film — but they weren’t bothered about stripping off on-screen.
Josh, 31, said the scenes ‘tell so much of the story’, adding: ‘They tell stuff that no writer could write dialogue for.’
Young, 23, added: ‘We, as actors, get asked to do really weird s*** all the time. And in fact being nude is, like, not weird.’ And director Eva Husson argued nudity is ‘about intimacy’ and ‘something very natural and nothing to be ashamed of’.
Defending not using an intimacy co-ordinator for sex scenes, Husson added: ‘The body is a tool, and you choreograph, you work the muscle memory, then you work on the more emotional side of things. And I don’t want to have to explain that to yet another person.’
Therapy’s write thing for Billie
Billie Eilish has therapy to thank for her latest single, NDA.
The Grammy-winning singer, 19, revealed the track from her eagerly awaited second studio album Happier Than Ever came from her deep and meaningful chats in the shrink’s chair.
‘I talk through things in therapy that I don’t even think about in my life,’ she confessed to Apple Music 1.
‘And then over the week I’m like thinking about, “Wow, that thing we talked about in therapy, I should write about that. That’s really interesting”. And it’s really helpful. It brings it out of you and it’s really necessary.’
Brit seeks lawyer to end ‘abusive’ conservatorship
Britney Spears has hired her own lawyer in a bid to scrap her conservatorship.
The Toxic singer, 39, has contacted former federal prosecutor Mathew Rosengart in her ongoing battle to remove her father Jamie from his position in charge of her estate, according to TMZ.
She was ‘feeling hopeful’ after co-conservator Bessemer Trust, manager Larry Rudolph and court-appointed lawyer Samuel Ingham III resigned from their roles, a source told E! News. They stepped down after Britney branded the arrangement ‘abusive’.
Mark’s vow to win cancer fight
Blink-182 rocker Mark Hoppus said he may find out his life expectancy this week as he vowed to keep fighting cancer with chemotherapy or bone marrow transplants.
The star, 49, shared a scan of his tumour, which appeared to be in his shoulder, though he is yet to confirm what type of the disease he has.
Posting some pictures of his ‘cancer garden’ which he created with ‘mutated varieties’ of plants, he tweeted: ‘It’s so surreal to think that this week I’ll take a test that may very well determine if I live or die.’ Thanking fans for support, the Feeling This star added: ‘I’m determined to kick cancer’s ass directly in the nuts. Love to you all. Let’s. Heckin. Go.’
He previously revealed chemo left him feeling like a ‘poisoned electrified zombie’.
