At AC-12 HQ it’s all change as a new face joins Hastings and the team in the office – but fans of the show will know that people are rarely what they seem.
Of course the unsolved case and Davidson’s colleagues will also bring the trio into contact with other officers. Hopefully some will be as gleefully prickly as Detective Chief Superintendent Patricia Carmichael (Anna Maxwell Martin) from series five.
Who will we meet this time round in the extended sixth series?
Who is new to the Line Of Duty cast?
Kelly Macdonald – DCI Joanne Davidson
The big guest star in series six is Trainspotting star Kelly Macdonald’s DCI Joanne Davidson.
Her addition to the cast was announced via an AC-12 memo from the gaffer which simply said she would be ‘joining AC-12 to assist in their important work on a tricky upcoming case.’
Perry Fitzpatrick– DS Chris Lomax
There hasn’t been much revealed about Lomax, however Perry did tell The Sun that Lomax is part of DCI Davidson’s team.
He has worked with Vicky McClure before in the Channel 4 drama I Am Nicola.
Prasanna’s role in series six is currently unknown.
He has previously starred in Doctor Foster and the Sky drama Patrick Melrose with Benedict Cumberbatch.
Line of Duty series six has been granted an extra episode, making it seven hours in length instead of the typical six, which it has been since series two.
