Despite the long-awaited return of the reality dating programme, which was cancelled last year due to Covid-19, viewers are yet to warm to the current season, with many sharing their disinterest online.
Even though the latest episode left us with yet another explosive cliffhanger that means either Lucinda Strafford or Brad McClelland will leave the show, viewers have still labelled the latest episode as ‘boring’.
Many have even said that and they are ‘struggling to watch’, as they believe no real couples have been formed.
Tonight viewers said they want the second villa to be introduced earlier than normal. The demand for this is so high, that Casa Amor was even trending on Twitter.
For those who don’t know, Casa Amor is a villa that is separate from the actual Love Island villa.
A few weeks into the competition, the men are sent to the rival villa, where they’re exposed to a new set of Islanders who they can choose to leave their partner for.
This has been at the centre of some of the show’s most intense scenes as the ultimate test for the Love Island couples.
‘I think we need Casa Amor now,’ one disappointed fan wrote online.
‘Let’s just fast forward to Casa Amor please,’ said another.
Another viewer went as far as to explain why so many people were disinterested by the current series.
They wrote: ‘Okay so let me get this straight, Toby doesn’t want Kaz, Jake doesn’t want Liberty, Brad doesn’t want Rachel, Faye doesn’t want Liam? Hugo and Chloe are just mates and whose Aaron and Sharon again? …restart the season or bring on Casa Amor sooner pls.’
Some fans even shared their theories as to what they think could happen in the second villa.
A variety of viewers have theorised that Jake Cornish will ‘break’ Liberty Poole’s heart when he goes to Casa Amor and others think both Millie Fuller and Liam Reardon will find someone else.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Love Island returns Wednesday at 9pm on ITV2.
