Love Island viewers have begged show producers for a translator for Brad McLelland, as many of them are struggling to understand his strong Northern accent.

The 26-year-old labourer was one of five male Islanders to join the cast of the 2021 series as it began.

During Sunday night’s episode, Brad tried his hardest to win over newbie Rachel Finni in order to keep his place in the villa.

Rachel admitted that he caught her eye almost immediately and seemed to enjoy the flirty conversations they were having.

While it’s clear she could understand every word he was saying, viewers weren’t quite as lucky.

Fans of the show have taken to Twitter to share how much they’re struggling to understand him on the show.

‘Been forced to watch Love Island with me flatmates so I can be a translator for what Brad is saying,’ one person tweeted.

‘We really need a translator for Brad because I’m actually struggling now,’ another person said.

Another fan questioned: ‘Anyone else need a translator for Brad?’

Former Love Island contestant Amber Gill has even gone as far as to translate what he’s saying on her Twitter account.

While some viewers may be requesting a translator to understand him, this hasn’t stopped fans from being invested in him.

The Northerner is currently competing for a spot in the villa with Chuggs Wallis, with Rachel determining who she wants to keep on the show..

Sunday’s episode of Love Island teased fans yet again with a cliffhanger ending as Rachel prepared to choose between the two.

We will have to wait for tonight to find out who she chooses.

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 2pm.
