Officers were called to reports of a knife attack on Alpha Road in Croydon at around 9.10pm on Tuesday.
This is the same street where 19-year-old Tai Jordan O’Donnell was fatally stabbed less than a month ago.
A man was pronounced dead at the scene while two other men, thought to be connected to the incident, arrived at a hospital with stab injuries yesterday evening.
Police are awaiting an update on their conditions and say no arrests have yet been made.
A crime scene is in place with enquiries ongoing to trace the victim’s next of kin, a spokesperson for the Met Police said.
‘Two men have self-presented at a south London hospital with stab injuries. They are believed to be connected to the prior Alpha Road incident. We await an update on their conditions,’ the force said.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
It comes as friends and family of Tai O’Donnell pay tribute to the ‘kind and respectful’teen.
The aspiring musician was found dead in the living room of a flat on Alpha Road with stab wounds at around 12.15pm on March 3. Kamila Ahmad, 22, has been charged with his murder.
Last week, Tai’s mother Stacey told of his dreams to go to university and ‘make something of himself’ as she described feeling ‘broken’ from his death.
‘He was one in a million, a loving, kind, beautiful human being and we as family couldn’t be prouder of the man he was growing into,’ she said.
‘One of the things he wanted most in life was for the world to hear his music and to be able to buy me a house.
‘He planned to go on to university and really wanted to make something of himself, and his teachers and peers said he had every potential and the drive needed to achieve those goals.
‘From writing music lyrics to making beats or drawing and painting, beatboxing and dancing, Tai blew us all away with his creative skills, charm charisma and high energy.’
Friends also paid tribute at a balloon release for Tai in Wandle Park yesterday.
Dwain Quaye, 21, who went to college with Tai, said he was known for being a kind, respectful person.
‘He really cared about everyone: his friends, his family. He said that one day, when he went further with his music, he wanted to be able to take care of his mum, buy her a house,’ he told MyLondonNews.
‘He was a really happy person, he loved to be around his friends, have a good time. He’d get on with everyone, he was always around his friends.’
Multiple attacks also took place in Croydon on February 5, with one man killed and 10 people left injured in the space of two hours.
There is currently no link between these stabbings and today’s incident.
