Sancho registered 16 goals and 20 assists in 38 games across all competitions for Dortmund last season, but has barely featured for England at Euro 2020.
Gareth Southgate has handed him just one brief substitute appearance in the tournament after three group stage games.
Despite his lack of game time this summer, the Daily Star report that Sancho will take home £250,000-a-week at Old Trafford, which is a big increase from his basic salary of £100,000-a-week in Germany.
United came to that figure due to the England international frequently earning an additional £90,000 in weekly bonuses at Dortmund last season.
The Manchester club were initially asked for wages in the region of £350,000-a-week by Sancho’s team – a figure which they snubbed.
Reacting to the latest Sancho developments on Twitter, United legend Gary Neville admitted he is ‘bored’ of the imminent transfer and is looking forward to finding out their next target.
He wrote: ‘Manchester United closing in on Sancho… again!
‘A transfer should be a joy and a moment of excitement. I’ve never been more bored by a transfer in my life to the point I feel like he’s already signed and I want to know who is next already. Not the lads fault at all I should say!’
