A mother allegedly called 911 – from a police station – to report that she had smothered her two daughters to death. Madison McDonald, 30, entered the Irving Police Department building in Texas and used the lobby phone to make the horrific call.
Madison told the dispatcher at around 10pm on Monday that she had killed her two daughters, according to an Irving Police Department press release. Police officers were sent to the lobby as well as to Madison’s home on the 700 block of Cowboys Parkway. The home is about 10 miles north of the police station.
Officers who arrived at Madison’s home confirmed that Lillian Mae McDonald, 1, and Archer Hammond, 6, were dead.
Madison allegedly told the dispatcher that she had smothered her daughters, Irving police spokesman Robert Reeves told Law & Crime on Tuesday. The cause of the girls’ death has not yet been determined by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office. Madison has been speaking with investigators regarding the crime, Reeves said.
Lillian and Archer had two different fathers and neither of the men lived at the home with Madison, according to Reeves.
Madison was charged with two counts of capital murder of people under the age of 10. She was booked into Irving City Jail with no bond.
The investigation is in the early stages and anyone with information is urged to contact the police department.
