NHS staff in Scotland are to be offered a pay rise of at least 4%.
Nurses, paramedics and domestic staff will be among those who will receive a boost to their salaries, the Scottish government confirmed.
Earlier this month Prime Minister Boris Johnson defended plans to give some NHS staff in England a 1% pay rise.
Scotland’s Health Secretary Jeane Freeman said the pay increase recognises ‘the service and dedication of our healthcare staff’.
Director of Communications for the SNP for Westminster, Tom French, tweeted: In Scotland, the government doesn’t just clap for our NHS staff – it gives them a proper pay rise.’
