Paddy McGuinness is never one to miss a joke and seized the opportunity to make a swipe at Patsy Palmer on Good Morning Britain this morning.

Patsy went viral earlier in the week when she slammed her laptop camera down on Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard after discovering the screen branded her ‘an addict to wellness guru’.

Uncomfortable with the title, Patsy declined to continue the interview, saying she ‘didn’t want to read it’ and was ‘pulling a Piers Morgan’.

Paddy, on the other hand, appeared today and beamed when he saw the screen strap declare him a ‘comedy genius’, telling hosts Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins he was more than happy with the title.

‘Well done on the comedy genius Paddy McGuinness, there’s no walking off here with that. I am all over that, I’m going nowhere!’ he said.

‘I’ll be here on Monday. Ah, this is what you want!’

The Top Gear host appeared on the show to discuss this year’s Red Nose Day, the annual Comic Relief fundraiser that airs on the BBC tonight.

Paddy will be hosting the show alongside Davina McCall and Lenny Henry in a bid to rake in some money for impoverished areas and those in need.

Since her appearance on the show, Patsy has spoken out about her decision to walk off, explaining that she ‘didn’t want to discuss the person she was five years ago.’

She later hit back at critics online with a long statement on Instagram, explaining why she didn’t want to be involved in the discussion any further.

Near the end of what the former actress wrote, she said: ‘I was supposed to be on there to talk about my new business that I have created that couldn’t be more opposite to that headline.

‘For all of the trolls and haters and people on here judging me.

‘GO F**K YOURSELVES. I’ve worked hard on myself to remove negativity from my life and the lives of my children so if anyone has a problem with that you need to go at take a look at your lives and wonder what drives you to jump on here to attack me for standing my ground.

‘If you are parents doing that then shame on you. I hope you find some joy amidst all the madness.’

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
