Peaky Blinders’ Arthur Shelby star Paul Anderson has finally given us hope that season 6 is on the way.
The actor, who plays the volatile Shelby brother, teased fans with the potential that the period drama, based around Birmingham gangsters, will be back on our screens sooner than we think.
Taking to Instagram with some fan art created of his character, the star wrote: ‘Season 6 #comingfknsoon thanking you all for the wait,it will will be worth it’
In the cartoon drawing, Arthur is seen with a mopey look as he smokes a cigarette with a glass of whiskey – so good to know things aren’t changing that drastically by the looks of it.
Arthur was left in a bad way at the end of season five, with his wife Linda leaving him as their relationship hit breaking point and his violent streak continued to get out of control – resulting in him horrifically beating a Quaker she’d befriended.
The series, set between the end of the first and start of the second World Wars, sees the family’s fight for power begin to tear them apart.
The show has become an international phenomenon, with celebrity fans across the world recreating their iconic suited and booted look complete with flatpacks.
