The 36-year-old actress is currently promoting Marvel’s much-delayed Black Widow, in which she plays Natasha Romanoff, but hasn’t done that many interviews or in-person promos.
She even skipped the premiere in London last month, with Florence Pugh – who plays Natasha Romanoff’s sister Yelena – instead holding down the fort and promoting the movie on Good Morning America.
While we’re used to stars doing movie promo from the shoulders up via Zoom during the pandemic, there’s reportedly another reason for Scarlett’s avoidance of face-to-face interviews and red carpet appearances.
Insiders have told Page Six that the star is pregnant and due ‘very soon’, with one saying: ‘Scarlett is actually due soon, I know she and Colin are thrilled.’
Another insider added: ‘Scarlett is pregnant but has been keeping it very quiet. She has been keeping a very low profile.’
Scarlett is already mum to six-year-old daughter Rose with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac.
This will be Colin’s first child, although the 39-year-old is stepfather to Rose.
While the stars have yet to comment on the news, low-key is certainly their style.
A post from the organisation read: ‘We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and loved ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC.
‘Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica. Please consider donating to celebrate the happy couple by clicking the link in our bio.’
Scarlett began dating Saturday Night Live comedian Colin in 2016 after the actress filed for divorce from Romain.
The pair met when Scarlett hosted SNL and Colin said that the show means ‘so much to me’ as he ‘met the love of my life here’.
Oscar nominee Scarlett has been married twice before – to French journalist Romain from 2014 to 2017, and Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011.
Black Widow – a prequel following the events of 2016’s Captain America: Civil War – was initially set for released in May 2020, but was pushed back due to the pandemic.
It will hit cinemas and also Disney Plus via Premier Access this Friday.
Metro.co.uk has contacted Johansson’s rep for comment.
