The 28-year-old signed for Spurs from PSG in 2017 and has made 110 appearances for the club, scoring eight goals, but with a year still to run on his contract, he feels his future lies elsewhere.
The Ivory Coast international says that talks over an exit have already been held and an agreement reached, but he must now wait and see if other clubs make a move for him.
The right-back is very open about the fact he wants to return to PSG, where he made 81 appearances from 2014-17, but would be happy to hear other offers, as long as he leaves Spurs.
‘Everyone is aware that if I wanted to extend my deal at Tottenham, I would’ve done so already. I’m not going to do it in six months,’ Aurier told L’Equipe.
‘I’ve reached the end of a cycle and it’s time to look elsewhere. The two parties, Tottenham’s board and my agents, have agreed upon the conditions. We’ll see after that.
‘I’ve never hidden my desire to return to PSG one day. It’s the club of my heart, the one that I support and I feel free to speak about it.
‘But I don’t want people to think that I’m stuck on them and I’m not closing the door on anyone. But if the club were to make an offer this summer, it’s sure that PSG would be my first choice.’
It is set to be a summer of upheaval at Tottenham as they search for a new manager and fight to keep hold of Harry Kane, who has also made it clear he wants to leave the club.
The England captain has attracted the attention of the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will be insisting on a huge transfer fee for the star striker.
Bringing in some funds for Aurier may help the rebuilding process that will be undertaken by the new boss.
Former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is currently the betting favourite to be that man, while the likes of Antonio Conte and Erik ten Hag are also considered contenders.
