Slasher: Flesh and Blood viewers have been loving the on-screen chemistry between Liv (Sydney Meyer) and Theo (Alex Ozerov-Meyer) – providing they’re not the killers – and it’s turned out that their romance is very, very real.
The latest season of Shudder’s hit horror anthology series centres on the ridiculously wealthy Galloway family, who become trapped at their mansion on an island with a serial killer bumping them off.
Of course, the culprit is likely one of the group making for a tense, and obviously gory, whodunnit.
Fighting for your life can be tiring work but Liv and Theo have managed to share tender moments amid the chaos, clearly having developed a strong connection over the years.
The fan-favourite characters are yet to act on their feelings but the actors shouldn’t find it difficult to make themselves look convincing if they do.
If you’ve felt the burning chemistry on-screen, it’s probably because Sydney, 25, and Alex, 28, are a real life couple.
Not only that, but they’re married.
It looks like the Canadian couple have been dating for a few years and got engaged in April 2020. They clearly have a forward-thinking relationship too as Alex chose to wear an engagement ring as well as Sydney.
Announcing their happy news with a sweet selfie of them showing off their rings, Sydney wrote: ‘We’ve been keeping this to ourselves for about a month and a half. But, especially during these times, I’m ridiculously thankful to have found someone who is my best friend, my family, my home.
‘Whose seen me at my worst and inspired me to be my best and loved me through it all. And now I get to spend the rest of my life making him guess what I want for dinner ☺️ We’re engaged!! 🥰💍 Also, yes he’s cool and is wearing an engagement ring too. (And made sure my ring was made of 100% ethically sourced recycled materials. He’s the bomb).’
When Alex celebrated his 28th birthday in August 2020, Sydney shared a heartfelt tribute to the Americans actor, writing: ‘Happy 28th birthday to the kindest, warmest, funniest, most thoughtful, talented, generous, loving, genuine human I have the honor of knowing. Sorry I missed the first 27 birthdays (give or take) babe, but I promise I’ll be here for all the rest of them. You make my world brighter.’
They cemented their relationship in March 2021 when they married in an intimate wedding ceremony with tight Covid restrictions.
Sharing stunning photos of their nuptials, Sydney wrote: ‘Yesterday I married the most incredible man I’ve ever known. My best friend. And wow it’s a good feeling. Thanks for choosing me lover, here’s to forever!💕💒
‘We had to push our wedding celebration due to Covid and as soon as we decided that we knew we didn’t want to put off our marriage so off to city hall we went. Thank you to everyone who made this happen we’re over the moon!’
Alex also said: ‘Married my best friend and lover yesterday! Such a special day. I couldn’t be happier to be sharing the rest of my life with you. Found my person.’
Now more than a year after tying the knot, Sydney and Alex found their very own lovenest and bought their first marital home in August.
Alex shared a cute photo of him and Sydney posing on their lawn with a ‘hate has no home here’ sign and the caption: ‘We have an actual lawn🏡 happy ducks .’
His overjoyed wife commented: ‘SO happy to be sharing and ACTUAL home with you my love!! I love you so much!’
Even if Liv and Theo turn out to be psychotic serial killers, we’ll always have Sydney and Alex.
