Tyson Fury tells Eddie Hearn the punch which will KO Anthony Joshua

Tyson Fury has told Eddie Hearn that he will knock out Anthony Joshua with a ‘check left hook straight to the temple’.

A deal is yet to be signed between Fury and Joshua but Hearn is confident that an agreement between all parties can be reached for a fight to be made this summer.

Fury will be undefeated heading into the fight, while Joshua only has one blemish on his record following his shock loss to Andy Ruiz Jr in June 2019.

And Fury believes a similar shot which Ruiz used to down Joshua in the third round of their first fight at Madison Square Garden will be enough to take out his British rival.

When asked by Eddie Hearn if he believes it’s an easy fight on the BBC’s No Passion, No Point podcast, Fury replied: ‘100 per cent, I cannot be beat by a fighter.

‘A normal fighting man cannot beat the ‘Gypsy King’. The only person that can beat the ‘Gypsy King’ is me.’

Later in the interview, Fury told Hearn: ‘So then you’ve your boy [Joshua], you’ve built him up from scratch, you’ve done an absolutely fantastic job by the way, congratulations to you and your team.

‘You took an amateur boxer and made him into a superstar boxer and the finished article.

‘It’s just a shame that he has to be in the same era as the Gypsy King.

‘When I say I will smash him to pieces and it won’t be a tough fight, like I said I was gonna knock Wilder out in the second fight and I did, I’m gonna say it here again, I will cut Anthony Joshua down like a hot knife through cheese.

‘That’s how easy it’s gonna be. When he gets cracked with all them muscles right in the jaw, it’s like getting a boiled egg with a split down the middle, it can’t be repaired, he will go.

‘I will tell you even what punch it’s gonna be, I’ll even give my game plan away.

‘It’ll be a check left hook straight to the temple. His legs will go and he’ll fall on his face.

‘He may get back up and then I’ll knock him out with the overhand right, goodnight. Enough said’

Hearn replied: ‘I think he stops you in nine rounds.’

Fury then said: ‘He ain’t got the minerals to fight me, Anthony Joshua.

‘The difference with me and him is, there’s only one difference, he’s a great champion, he’s knocked out loads of people and whatever, but the real difference here, in men, is he’s a businessman and I’m a spartan. I don’t care about money. I live to fight. I don’t care about any other thing in boxing, I don’t want to be a billionaire, I don’t want to be a business man, I’m not interested. The only thing I love is a fight.’
