Comedian David Baddiel passed on his well wishes tweeting: ‘The great @Richard_Schiff – see our intersection below – has COVID in hospital. He tells me it’s been s**t but the doctors have wrestled the bastard down. I’m going to wish him well whatever, because he’s an amazing person and wishing is all I can do.’
Richard replied: ‘Thank you my friend.’
The TV star also joked to another follower that he should watch Mrs Doubtfire to ‘pick me up’.
Sheila, 59, also updated her concerned fans and revealed: ‘Thank you all of you for the prayers and love. We feel them. He’s doing better. Getting stronger.
‘My son and I are still riding this strange covid coaster up and then down and all around.’
Highlighting the seriousness of the virus, Sheila admitted: ‘I have never experienced anything like this before in my life. One minute I’m feeling pretty good and the next I’m struggling to breathe.

Richard shared his positive diagnosis last week and tweeted: ‘On Election Day I tested positive for Covid-19. This has been the most bizarre week of our lives. @thesheilakelley is also positive.

Coincidentally, both Richard and Sheila star in The Good Doctor, which tackled the coronavirus pandemic in its two part season four premiere last month.
