The Red Arrows are set to fly over large swathes of the South West of England today (June 12) on their route to Windsor Castle for Trooping the Colour.

The exciting flyover is part of the celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II’s official birthday.

This evening, the famous Royal Air Force squadron will also be flying over the G7 summit currently taking place in Carbis Bay, Cornwall.

But what times will they be flying over, and where will you be able to see them?

Here is all you need to know.

What is the Red Arrows’ route for Trooping the Colour?

Based at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, the Red Arrows were formed in 1964 – and still prove to be just as popular as ever.

The Royal Air Force squadron are one of the world’s best aerobatic display teams.

Below are the times and locations you will be able to see the jets tear across the sky trailing red, white and blue smoke today:

  • Sturgate – 11.01 am
  • Near Northampton – 11.13 am
  • South of Hook – 11.17 am
  • Southeast of Cheltenham – 11.21 am
  • Northwest of Wooton – 11.24 am
  • South of Wantage – 11.27 am
  • Goring – 11.29 am
  • North of White – 11.31 am
  • Windsor Castle – 11.33 am
  • East of Woking – 11.35 am
  • Southeast of Haslemere – 11.38 am

The route the Red Arrows will take over Cornwall on this evening is as follows:

  • Culdrose Ad – 7.34 pm
  • South of Cadgwith – 7.36 pm
  • Oversea – 7.38 pm
  • East of Penzance – 7.44 pm
  • North west of Carbis – 7.45 pm
  • Oversea – 8.04 pm
  • North of Redruth – 8.06 pm
  • Culdrose Ad – 8.09 pm

It is worth noting that the route may change due to unexpected circumstances such as the weather.
