The New Day defeated the Hurt Business in the main event of WWE Raw as the red brand delivered another solid night with some great in-ring action.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods made the most of their experience as a tag team in a winning effort against Bobby Lashley and MVP, while the show as a whole continued to build towards Money In The Bank and next week’s return of live fans.

Backstage during the show, the WWE Champion revealed he took a vacation after destroying Drew McIntyre and Woods in back to back Hell In A Cell matches.

He had an issue with Kofi calling him soft last week, before promising that the Hurt Business would stay true to their name in the main event.

Later, The New Day were in great spirits as they hyped up their recent honour of being named WWE’s greatest tag team of all time.

Kofi noted that he proved anything is possible when he won the WWE Title, and he vowed to take back the crown at MITB.

The main event itself was as great as you’d expect from the four men involved, with MVP making his long-awaited return to in-ring action.

In the end, Lashley got taken out by Woods with a clothesline off the steps, and Trouble In Paradise from Kingston was enough to put MVP away.

The night kicked off with a revolving door promo as The Miz and John Morrison hyped up the latter’s Money In The Bank prospects.

Soon, Drew McIntyre joined them on Miz TV and talked about Davy Crockett and the Alamo, before Ricochet came out and Riddle eventually joined the fray.

The Original Bro climbed up the latter and said he felt ‘really high and a little sad’, before Randy Orton and Omos came out to complain about last week’s triple threat.

Eventually, we got to the first match – a re-run of last week’s fantastic Ricochet/JoMo bout – which more than lived up to expectations en route to Morrison getting a count-out win.

Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Eva Marie and Doudrop picked up a big victory in eight-woman tag team action as they overcame Nikki A.S.H., Naomi, Asuka and Alexa Bliss with the latter providing the usual antics.

Sooner than we might have expected, Mansoor faced Mustafa Ali in singles action this week after recent backstage interactions between the pair.

In the end, Ali played possum and suckered his rival in, faking a leg injury before winning with a roll-up and suggesting he was right about Mansoor needing an edge.

Elsewhere, 3MB collided as Jinder Mahal faced Drew McIntyre, with the latter winning by disqualification when Veer and Shanky attacked – and Mahal stole his former partner’s sword to add insult to injury.

In the tag team ranks, Lucha House Party beat Mace and T-Bar in a short clash with a slightly bizarre result – although everyone involved has more upside than they’re getting to show.

Later, Riddle sought revenge after AJ Styles’ attack in the opening segment, leading to a fantastic bout with the Original Bro selling his foot injury to perfection.

The Viking Raiders distracted Omos and AJ enough to let Riddle in with a roll-up win, which would have landed better without a similar ending earlier, and the count-out.

In a confusing segment, both Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley feigned injury with crutches before coming to blows.

Finally, after some 24/7 Title nonsense, Jaxson Ryker and R-Truth beat Cedric Alexander and Elias, with the latter refusing to tag in.
