Kloots was joined by Cordero’s best friend Zach Braff on Thursday night at The Barrymore Theater and the pair revealed their excitement in a series of social media posts.
The Talk co-host, 39, also reacted to the special way the show paid tribute to her late husband.
On its set there is a menu board offering a ‘Big Ol Slice of Live Your Life Pie’ which is a nod to Nick’s famous song, Live Your Life.
Amanda thanked the Tony-nominated musical’s cast and crew for honoring the ‘original Earl’ as she wrote on Instagram: ‘I’m pretty confident that I will cry through the entire show but I can’t wait to be there.’
She added in a separate post: ‘There’s no community like the Broadway community.
‘I’m honored to be invited to this opening night, honored to be watching this show, honored to celebrate Nick’s life with Broadway! This one is for you babe.’
The celebrity fitness trainer even joined the cast on stage after the show in a special moment.
Kloots had her world turned upside down when her partner caught the virus and was left fighting for his life in the ICU due to complications from the deadly disease.
After a 95-day battle, Cordero died on July 5, 2020.
Amanda – who is mother to their two-year-old son Elvis – famously shared updates about Nick’s condition with the world to help people realize just how serious the unprecedented pandemic was last year.
The star has since revealed the full story about Nick’s final days in her moving memoir, detailing the most devastating moments in her life with Nick, and many of the happiest ones too.
